Santa Pictures

Good evening Bullpup families.  Tomorrow and Thursday we will have pictures with Santa.  Students may dress in holiday colors on these days and skip their uniform.  Individual pictures will be taken tomorrow, and the first picture is free.  Any additional pictures are $1.  Group pictures are taken on Thursday and cost $2 for up to 3 people and $5 for 4 people or more.  Thanks to our fabulous PTSO for hosting this event.  Thank you and have a good evening.

Carnival Messenger

Good evening Bullpup families.  This Thursday is our 80s theme carnival from 5-7:30 PM.  Right now we have carnival baskets available for you to preview in the front hallway by the office. Tickets are $1 to try to win a carnival basket.  Families may come in and buy tickets during the school day and may put their ticket in their carnival basket early to beat the crowd.  We also have carnival game tickets on sale for 5 for $1.  During the carnival, tickets will be 4 for $1.  Kona ice will be available for purchase too! On Thursday, we will have a spirit day to dress in 80s attire to get students excited about the carnival. Again, the carnival is this Thursday beginning at 5 PM.  We can't wait to see you there!

Updates Week of 4-22-19

Good morning Bullpups.  Please make time today to visit our bake sale taking place at North side Walmart until 1 PM.  Also, to celebrate Earth day, students may wear jeans and a blue or green shirt on Monday.  On Tuesday from 2-3:30, we will have preschool sign up in our cafeteria.  On Tuesday evening, our choir will be performing at the Board Meeting at 6 PM.  There are a few events happening on Thursday.  We are hosting a spaghetti dinner for $5 beginning at 5 PM before our concerts to help fifth grade raise money for their end of year banquet.  We need fifth graders to sign up with their teachers to help with this event. Then at 6 PM on Thursday, kindergarten and first grade will have a music performance in the gym.  Also beginning on Thursday, the elementary art show will be showcased at the Rawlings library through May 6th.  Finally, please support our carnival and send in your carnival basket donations to your child’s classroom this week.  This messenger will be posted on our website under announcements for your reference.  Thank you and have a great weekend!

School Cancelled 3/14/19

Due to high wind and weather causing flooding, roof issues, and power outages, school has been cancelled for district 60 on Thursday, March 14th.  Next week is spring break.  Enjoy the extra day off.  We will see you on Monday, March 25th.

Funner to be a Runner

ATTENTION Irving parents this is your child’s Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Markert calling to inform you of a special event for our students. On Sunday, March 3 there will be a kids “Funner To Be A Runner” Run/Walk race. The Race has two parts a 50 yard dash for students Kindergarten or Younger and a 1.2 mile running/walking race for Kindergarten through 5th grade students at Dutch Clark Stadium. Bright green packets of information are coming home this week. If your child is planning on participating be sure to read through this information, complete the required portions, and be prepared for a fun event.

2-19-19 Two Hour Delay

All Pueblo City Schools will be on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, February 19, 2019. The two-hour delay includes all-day preschool and all kindergarten programs. Morning preschool is canceled and breakfast will not be served. Essential personnel, including principals, department leaders, and appropriate facilities staff will report as scheduled. All other staff will report two hours later.

We are on a 2 hour delay today.  Buses will pick up students on their route 2 hours later than normal.  Students should enter the gym from 9:35-9:50 a.m.  No morning preschool.

Good evening Irving families.  Here are a few updates to know about.  The last day to buy a Valentine gram is tomorrow.  They range from 50 cents to $1.  The grams will be delivered on Valentine’s Day.  Students may wear Valentine attire and jeans on Thursday, and Valentine’s Day parties start at 2:15.  Remember that all food for the party must be store bought.  Also, for students that ride the bus and get off at Blake St. and 14th, the route has changed and students will get off the bus at 3:17.  To see the full schedule, go to our Irving website.  Thank you and have a good evening.

School Choice

Good evening 5th grade families. The Pueblo City Schools choice window is open and will remain open through February 16th.  If your 5th grade student chooses to attend a middle school that is outside of your designated attendance area, you must fill out a school choice application.  These applications can be found by visiting www.pueblocityschools.us and clicking on the school choice icon.  All school choice applications must be completed online and require a parent portal login to Infinite Campus.  If you have any questions, call or stop by our office.

Beulah Field Trip - 5th Grade

Good evening 5th grade families.
The Beulah field trip to Pueblo Mountain Park is tomorrow.  Students are asked to be at school at the regular time.  We will leave the school by bus at approximately 8:30 a.m. and return to school in time for dismissal.  Students will need to have the following items:  snow boots, water bottle, backpack, coat, sweatshirt, gloves, and hat.  If your child does not have snow boots, Pueblo Mountain Park will provide some.  Also, a sack lunch will be provided for students.  Water is the only drink that is allowed.  If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.  Thank you and have a good evening.
